Columbus and Central OH New Neighborhoods and Communities

Neighborhoods are the lingua franca of real estate agents and consumers — a classification system that condenses a wealth of information about home prices, property types, demographics, proximity to schools and other amenities into a single, easy to remember term.

To those who are already familiar with it, a neighborhood name conjures up more than just statistics — it’s an image of a place and the people who live there.

Neighborhoods are a way of breaking down what might otherwise be an overwhelming set of choices into more manageable subsets. Today's home buyer isn't simply looking for a home, they are looking for a community that matches their lifestyle, or the lifestyle they aspire to, and one that offers the opportunity to connect with others who share similar traits and values.

The housing market continues to see steady, positive growth which is adding to builder confidence. Developers have been scrambling to open subdivisions before inventories of available lots are exhausted in existing communities. If you interested in considering new homes including newly built spec homes, a semi-custom, or a custom built home, below you will find information on some of Central Ohio's newest neighborhoods and communities.

Dominion Homes expects to open five subdivisions this year, including more than 300 lots in Dublin, Jerome Township, Berlin Township, Pickerington and the Olentangy area.

Northstar Communities, a partnership between Nationwide Realty Partners and The Robert Weiler Company, is a 1,700-acre mixed-use development located north of Polaris near I-71 and US 36-37 in southern Delaware County, one of the country's fastest growing areas. Northstar will include 1,300 residential units, 300 acres of commercial land, a site for elementary and middle schools, and 400 acres of open space, including parks, paths and preservation areas. At the center of this development is the already popular Northstar golf course, an 18-hole course designed by former Ohio State and PGA golfer John Cook.
